Caribbean

Does anyone know what the rain is like this time of year in the Dominican Republic, especially in Samana? Do the "Scattered Thunderstorms" last all day or just a few minutes then they're done? Do Storms come and go all day? Is my beach trip going to be all rain and clouds?

I've done not much, but some traveling in The Caribbean and I think Puerto Rico has the prettiest girls I have seen in The Caribbean Islands. I'm wondering what other's opinions are. Not worldwide, only Caribbean Islands. Just wondering. Thanks.

We are going to DR and Haiti next month, and would appreciate some tips about cheap accomodation in both countries.

We are going to Haiti in June, but have great difficulty finding up to date info about traveling in the country. I would be grateful if someone could give some tips about cheap (or at least the cheapest) accomodation, must sees, must definitely not sees etc.

We are still up in the air if we should stay in Port Antonio or Treasure Beach. I have traveled through both places, but have not spent much time at either.
Port Antonio seems idyllic & picturesque, maybe pricier, but the 2 1/2 hour ride to/from the airport seems like it would be harrowing. Also, maybe more remotely located than Treasure Beach?
Can anyone shed some light on this? I like to hike, local markets & maybe horseback riding. Beaches & relaxing are my friend's favorite thing.

We are two 40+ women going to Jamaica. I have been there twice & have seen the entire country, & I remember loving the Treasure Beach area. We are going
early July for a week & are thinking of a low-cost vacation. Is this area safe?
We are looking into Irie House & Nuestra Casa, both in Billy's Bay. Has anyone stayed at either one of these? Food seemed to be high priced in Nuestra Casa, but
we plan on eating locally as I remember the street food & local eating places were cheaper.

My husband and I and another couple are heading to Jamaica the 2nd week in June. We are staying at Breezes Runaway Bay because of the great deal we received but we don't want to be bound to our resort. We really want to explore the beauty of Jamaica. Suggestions for day trips and excursions would be greatly appreciated.
