I’m planning a trip to Grenada for my family for Jan 2016. It will be my wife and two boys. We’re looking for a quieter resort that provides the feel of an adult only, however, cannot have an adult only restriction as we have the boys with us (they’re very mature for 12 and 15, no marco polo in the pool and etc).
Price range for a 2 or 3 bedroom, I’m hoping, is max $300/night. Although hoping for something closer to the $200 range. We were even considering looking into something like an air B&B, or house rental for the week. However, I’m a little hesitant as I’ve never been to Grenada, and don’t really know the area, local culture, and safety, etc.
If anyone could share their knowledge or experience with Grenada, and smaller resorts or housing rental, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

There are many small resorts in Grenada and Cariaccou. The place I liked best was La Sagesse Nature resort.

I was there only on a daytrip from a cruise ship and was shown around by my brother in law
which is from Grenada. I quite liked this place, but it might be above your budget:
It's managed by two swiss people, which should give you a hint of the quality and savety of this place.
Another tipp for Grenada: If you like to rent a car you'll have to go to the police first and get a driving permission; your driving licence is not enough.

Thanks for the responses guys, La Sagesse looks great, but we're going to go with Siesta Hotel (quite similar to La Sagesse)http://www.siestahotel.com/
Great tip on the car rental onyx007, I appreciate it. Will definitely be renting a car when we're there so we'll need to do it. Is it pretty easy to get approved by the police? I assume there will be a minor fee involved?
I was in Siesta Hotel about 5 years ago. Friendly British owner. From Siesta hotel you can walk in about half an hr over bituminized streets along other hotels and houses to rent to 2 sandy beaches where you can rent chairs and umbrellas.
Siesta is all but "quite similar to La Sagesse". The latter is in the middle of the nature, along a palm fringed sandy hotel beach with chairs for free just a few steps from your bungalow. Other similar, but completely virgin beaches can be reached from there by hiking an hour or so.
