looking for a cheaper, safe place to buy beach front property with possibly a couple of rental places on it. can be a fixer upper. not sure how to research this? not looking for high end property. any ideas on where to look.

Thorn Tree is for travel, not real estate advice. I suggest you pick a place (or places) and do an online search "place expats"....the expat forums usually have info, advice and links to people selling property...ordinary people, not necessarily pricey...
