MBay

Hello,

My friend and I will be arriving in Mbay Friday afternoon and are looking for a place to stay. Our budget is 60-80 for a night before we head for Black River/ Treasure Beach.

We are also looking for a place in Negril for our last night. The budget would be 100-130 for a night, we are looking or a fun place as well.

Thanks

Going to Jamaica have always been a dream of mine ever since I was a teenager. I'm not a teenager any more but I still like to have a good time and "later" is better than "never", right:-)

My husband and I are looking for a place with good music, good drinks and a happy and relaxed crowd (not the "Springbreak" crowd)
We will arrive on Saturday, yeah!!
Any suggestions?

Hi,
We're arriving in Negril next Monday, and as of yet we have no room reserved. We're looking for a LOW budget place near the beach. If we show up without a room reserved, will we be screwed? Should we book for at least the first 2 nights, and look around when we arrive?
We'll be there for 3 weeks, and we don't want to commit to anything for the whole stay.

Thanks,

Jimmy

We are thinking of spending a week in Jamaica, flying into Montego Bay. We are on a budget, $80. or less per night, if possible. We'd like to find a nice, simple place to stay on a beautiful sandy, calm beach. Any ideas you may have for a town and guesthouse would really be appreciated!

Hello

We're headed to Jamaica for the first time next week. We'll be there for 17 days and will start off in Negril.
We usually travel very light, but we're thinking about bringing scuba gear with us. Does anyone know if there is good beach diving in Negril (or anywhere else)? If we can save lots of loot and do a bunch of shore dives we'll do it. If not, we'll be content with renting equipment for a couple of boat dives.
I've been looking through the threads, and it seems like there are some…

Hi all! I'm going to Jamaica in March. I'm first going to Negril with friends, but I'd also like to discover the real, authentic Jamaica outside the touristic beach resorts. My friends are not so interested in leaving Negril so I'd be traveling alone. I'd like to visit Kingston, at least, maybe Port Antonio too.

I'm not afraid of traveling alone (have done that before in Europe), but I'm wondering if it's too risky in Jamaica. I'm a natural blonde, 20-y-o European girl. I am very careful when…

Hey,

I've booked a cheap flight, Vancouver to Montego Bay for a week. I'm looking to get out of MB ASAP and head to the South Coast for a very relaxing and affordable trip.

What's the best way to get from MA to Treasure Beach and/ or Alligator Pond? Once there how about accommodation? 50$ a night max would be ideal.

Entertainment/ things to do?

Thanks all, I'm looking forward to my week in the sun.

Ryan

I will be staying in Negril for ten days during mid-march and would like to do some day trips while I'm there. I would rather not have the responsibility of renting a car and am looking to hire a driver who knows where the good non-touristy spots are to spend some time. I would also like to go to Treasure beach and YS Falls. I have found a few tour companies online, but I would rather support a more independent driver as long as he is knowledgeable and trustworthy. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi. Am thinking about a trip to the Island around the 4th or 5th of March and planning to rent a car to get to Long Bay. Does anyone have experience with that? Anyone along for the ride maybe? Any good tips for accomodation in Long Bay? Do I have to book in advance around this time of year? Anything helps... Thanks!

My brother has talked me into spending a week with his family at a resort in Runaway Bay, Jamaica (near Ocho Rios).

The main item on my agenda is to spend time with him and his family and, in particular, my little niece. And insofar as that goes, I'm really looking forward to it. However, this is not the trip I would have planned. I tend to be a pretty independent traveler, and I've never set foot on a resort (except to sneak into the pool).I can't bear the thought of being stuck on a resort…
