Cool site, hope to get some replys from all the veteran travelers out there. My daughter will be getting married at the Sandals Grande Ocho Rios in May. And although she is encouraging me to stay at her resort,I have a hunch it would be better to stay at a different hotel. This being my first rodeo: has anyone stayed at the Sunset Resort in Ocho Rios, looks ok. If yall could share some info. like other hotels in the area, I will stay at one of those and buy a day pass for the wedding. Thanks for the help ( :

I have stayed at that Sandals a bunch of times - you are right to stay elsewhere! It's not the best one. I wouldn't choose the Sunset either....I would recommend the Riu Ocho Rios.

Most of the Jamaican veterans on this branch do not stay at hotel nor resorts.
Most of us stay at local guesthouses.
