To all you Jamaican "YARDIES" on this forum.
Old MikeyMike will be going off-line for one month, so you will not be hearing from me for that while.
I am headed down to Argentina for a month long vacation (as my wife says, there are other places to go besides Jamaica) :>) :>) What does she know !! :>) :>) :>)

Anyway, when I am on vacation (even in Jamaica), I get totally away from my regular life, which means NO time on the computer (except to check my bank account) :>) :>)

So as always, I know that I am leaving this branch in the experienced and capable hands of my fellow "YARDIES" !!!!!!!!!!! BIG UP to all of you !!
SOON COME !!!!!
ONE LOVE !!
Mike

Have fun being a temporary gaucho Mike! I too will be checking out next week to go to India to wander around for a bit ... back in time for turkey day here in the states and the dreaded winter season. Will have my netbook with me, though, so may check in occasionally.

have a great time. you've got the right idea keeping away from the computor. it becomes a habit and can stop you totally chilling out.

Hi there, are you back from your travels? you seem to be the man to talk to when it comes to jamaica :)
I'm thinking about heading there in march this year as part of a round the world trip, so i want to do it quite cheap.
When looking on the net i haven't found a lot of backpacker type places. Are you able to get get many places to stay at for like $15US-$25US a night? I'm quite happy to stay in pretty basic places and to live like the locals. And i've heard transportation is quite expensive? i want to travel around the whole island as much as i can.
Any information would be much appreciated :)

cheers
