Hi There!

I'm going to be in Jamaica to attend a wedding (Negril) with my husband. We may look for a place to stay for a couple of nights afterwards, but aren't sure where yet. The all inclusives might not be our style, and are pretty pricey for our budget.

My big question though, is we want to go to Cuba from Jamaica for the holidays. How do we get there? Can we travel by boat? Does anyone know?

Thanks so much!
Gillian

There should be a "Frequently Asked Question" (FAQ) section for the Jamaica branch and it should contain ONLY one question.
Can you go to Cuba from Jamaica by boat ?
And should have ONLY one reply.

Wow, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think what you are all trying to say are there are no boats to Cuba? ha ha Thanks for putting up with the oft asked question. I've never been there and it just seems like there could be a boat. I guess it is too politically loaded for ferry service. But thanks for the clear answer! Peace.

Yes we are just making FUN of the often asked ouestion :>)

But seriously, lets hope that one day SOON the Cuban people will be FREE to travel (by any means of transport they choose).

It seems that there are (or there were) boat tours from Jamaica to Santiago de Cuba.
Cubana flies between Cuba and Jamaica. Cayman Airways via Grand Cayman and Copa Airlines via Panama City can take you from Kingston to Havana too.

Years ago there was a small overnight boat from Port Antonio to SdC. I don't know if one could actually disembark and head onto the country but, in any event, the boat no longer runs and I've not heard of any other ship/boat.
