Is it really dangerous to drive expensive cars in Kingston? Or do you see many people driving expensive cars in Kingston? How much would a good expensive jeep (or any other car) cost me in Kingston?

The nicest car I've ever seen in Kingston was black Mercedes driven by a drug dealer. My guess would be the car would be as safe as it would be in any major city, which isn't that safe. A nice car in Jamaica will cost you much more than it would in the US.

Lots of expensive cars in Kng. I've always wondered why anyone would drive a white-on-white Escalade, loaded with every conceivalbe option and cutomization, in Kng.?
Then again, guessing about the owner's source of income, I'll bet NOone wants to be responsible for damaging it in any way....
Well i am planning to live in kingston for 6 months to 1 year and im planning to live there as a wealthy man (i wont show off that im rich apart from driving an expensive car), so i am just wondering if is dangerous to be rich in Kingston.

This is a strange question if you are not a Jamaican are a Jamaican national.
Why would you want to show off by driving an expensive car in a city that you are not familiar with, where there is a high crime rate ?
By the way, YES an EXPENSIVE car is EXPENSIVE no matter what coutry you are in.

If you are a "wealthy man", why would you want to live in Kingston? There are plenty of places I would live in JA and Kingston is definitely not one of them. Just curious, are you white? If you are, people will think you're rich no matter what you're driving. If you're not familiar with the country or the city, driving a nice car here isn't the smartest thing to do. To answer your question, unless you're a drug dealer or wealthy JA native with private security, YES it is dangerous to be rich in Kingston.
There's a reason plenty of wealthy people live in Kingston and there is a reason they pretty much all live behind gates with alarms and dogs.
I've seen lots of nice cars in Kingston. Probably more than anywhere else in Jamaica. I am sure they are all carefully garaged when not home and carefully garaged when they are home.
