Visiting parents during holidays

I am studying at the York University and staying at the dorm. When I return from my hometown after this vacation I'll have my gf with me and we are planning to rent an apartment together. I will be keeping my dorm room contents at a self storage unit while I go home. I have already booked the unit as there may be a rush during the vacation time. Now I need to start looking for an apartment. Where can I find a reasonable 1 bedroom apartment near the York region? Do you know any place?

Try the Toronto "Classified ads" in the Toronto Star newspaper. Or go to the area and check out the supermarket bulletin board for ads.
