Hi,

I have a question on the validity of visitor visa (multiple entry) to Canada. It is mentioned in the website: "[a multiple entry visa] will be valid for up to 10 years or one month before your passport expires, whichever is shorter."

So, if my passport expires in a few years, do I still get to enjoy the validity of 10yrs in my renewed passport? Is the Visitor Visa's validity carried forward to the new passport?

I've an Indian passport, by the way.

I understand the rules to say that the visa would not be valid in a renewed passport, only your current passport, and only until one month remains in its validity, but I have to admit the wording is ambiguous.
