Montreal and Quebec

I Guess my previous topic was missplaced so I reposted it in the USA branch.
And now I've reached Canada. I have very little time and don't want to miss the most interesting parts of these cities.
Which places are a "must", the kind of places that if you miss them, you really haven't been there ?.
I guess there are plenty. Special, not so famous or known places will be considered and apreciated.

Mont Royal is pretty good, the views are great. The old port in Montreal is worth a wander, as is checking out the Notre Dame Cathedral/church. A walk down Rue St Denis in the evening is a must. If you like your beer, have a pint at Diu du ciel, some of the best beer youre likely to taste.

andybox is right, old Montreal, Chinatown, the gay village, the Mont Royal and don't forget the plateau for an interesting feel, walking on Ste Catherine street will also give you a good idea of the people. If you have time, try to make it to a sugar shack (cabane a sucre in french) where you can have more maple syrup than you can imagine possible, gotta have the sugar toffee on snow...In Quebec city, the old part is a gem, within fortified walls, and the people are realy nice ( I took my non-french speaking/aussie husband there and very one was very friendly to him).

It has been more than ten years since my last trip to Montréal, but if you are interested in architecture you might want to see Habitat '67, a multifamily dwelling designed by architect Moshe Safdie for the World's Fair that was held in the city in 1967. My recollection is that it stands on an island in the St. Lawrence River. The units were unique for the time in that they were stacked at various angles to each other.
