This trip is still set in sand but I'm putting feelers out to see if I could find someone to drive thru Canada with me to Wasilla, AK. This is a one-way trip. A few years ago in Western Canada I came across 4 way stop signs and did not have a clue as to how to handle them. I'm going back in a few months and would like to have some learned person tell me how to use them, who do you give way to?. Is it the first one there has right of way?, do you give way to your left?. I assume the person going straight through has right of way over one who is turning?. Last time some kind souls waved me through or I would go out of my way not to use the intersection.

I will be hiking the West Coast Trail (Vancouver Island) at the end of June. I'll be doing a couple days before in Victoria. I'm considering doing a couple days afterwards in Tofino. Since I will already have spent 7 days hiking and camping on beaches, I'm wondering if Tofino will be different enough to warrant the effort to get over there.

Griffintown sounds great as do a few other neighborhoods in Montreal. I wonder if Mile End would offer more choice of restaurants and whether Griffintown's proximity to Old Town is that important - perhaps since Mile End has more train and bus availability it might be better.
