Hi,

I'm going to be in Banff and the surrounding area (e.g., passing through Glacier NP as well) for a short time between May 20 and the first few days of June (it's part of a 4-day drive from Victoria to Winnipeg with a friend, and I'm deliberating returning by bus rather than plane so that I can spend a few days in Banff). I've been to the Rockies several times before, but always in July-August. Can anyone provide recommendations about what's good to see and to hike this time of year, and…

Hi there,

I live in Yellowknife and will be driving to Vancouver at the end of the month. I've driven YK to Jasper (via Grand Prairie and Grand Cache) before and will likely take that route through north-west Alberta heading south. I'm looking for some advice on the most scenic drives moving south and west.

It looks like I can take either highway 5 through Kamloops, Merritt, Hope (likely the most direct route) or hop onto highway 1 and loop down through Vernon and Kelowna. I've also heard…

Hi I am going to be visiting my brother in Canada and I am from Angola. I want to buy my ticket online on flight hub or something like that but these tickets are non-refundable.

Are there any companies that I could get trip cancellation coverage from to be able to cancel for any reason just incase Canada doesn't approve my visitor visa? I want to buy my flight now before the prices go up any more but I havent applied for my visa yet. Thanks!

Hi. I will be travelling through Montreal with my Colombian wife, and she needs a transit visa.

Does anyone know if the transit visa allows you to get out of the airport? It would be nice to have a day or two in Montreal before continuing our journey...

Thanks!!

I am planning on two parts of the journey: The first to the east coast (Banff! Niagara Falls! Toronto! Quebec! Montreal! Great Lakes!!!), and then returning to at least Calgary for Stampede Festival, maybe all the way to Van. And the second going north…

My friend and I are planning a trip to British Columbia in August/September. We fly into Calgary and then Out from Vancouver 3 and a half weeks later. The plan is to visit Banff national park for 5/6 days then move up to Jasper for another 5/6 days then head to Vancouver and we're hoping to do the West Coast Trail along Victoria Island to finish off the trip.

While we're in Banff or Jasper, I'm quite keen to find a log cabin we could stay in for a couple of nights. So far I've only been able…

Hello everyone,

I'm looking to go on a 10 day roadtrip at the end of July 2015 to the interior of B.C. and do camping, golfing, sightseeing around places like Kelowna, the Shuswaps, Osoyoos, Pentiction, etc. I've been to the area before, but not specifically for camping. I'm from Edmonton and just looking for some good camping spots around these places or some other spots to visit/see.

If you have any tips please post away.

Thanks!

I'm flying into Calgary on June 11 and plan to spend 3 days in Banff, 1 day in Lake Louise and 2 days in Jasper, then on June 19, jet to Vancouver for 2 whole days. I have varied questions and appreciate anyone's assistance. Thanks.
1) Any recommendation to do Banff or Jasper first, and of course including a long drive with multiple stops on the Icefields Parkway.
2)I'm good with directions and maps but should I get a GPS in the rental car. That is, are the places I'll want to go very well…

I'm going to be working in Kingston for a few weeks and as a first time visitor I'd like to make the most of my time in Canada. I had been thinking about going to Toronto one weekend and either Ottawa or Montreal? All three cities seem nice but Ottawa seems to have a boring reputation despite looking good to me? I enjoy walking around new places and eating local specialties, drinking coffees and walking round markets as well as a bit of historical/cultural sights. Suggestions and comments…
