I'm off to Canada for two weeks - first week for family wedding in Montreal. Second week in nature. I've left the second week a bit late now as going 4-19th August! I won't have a car and many places near Montreal are now booked up eg. Oka and Hudson, which is where I was looking thanks to replies to my previous post.

I wondered about WWOOFing (World Wide Organic Farming opportunities) near Montreal - I'm signing up to look at their lists, but wondered if anyone had any experiences to share? Or…

Hey everyone. I am planning to take a cruise through either the British Columbia Inside Passage or the Northwest Passage. Tell me what you think offers more beauty and an overall better experience. Thanks :)

the folks who refuel the aircraft at Toronto international airport. are rather annoyed. there jobs going as a new company won bid for the serviced based on lower benefits far less pay and current employees informed they must reapply. which means your trusting your life to underpaid disgruntled employees. good luck on that.

I am interested in backpacking around Nova Scotia and Newfoundland by ferries but of course some bus or train rides if something of interest comes along. I usually go with a Lonely Planet with some sort of plan and then change my plan when I come across something of interest and stick around. How easy is it to get to around the area by yourself in about 3 weeks of time.

We are planning a 5-day trip to Ottawa (late May next year) and I am not sure how to fit in everything I think we want to do.

Parameters:
1. We have four free nights of lodging in Ottawa so Ottawa will be our base camp for all but one night.
2. I'd love to include a boat trip on the Rideau or other historic canal. Is it possible to use the canal to transport ourselves to the St. Lawrence River? Or are the only tours just 2-3 hour trips near Ottawa?
3. I'd love to include a day tour of Thousand…

I'm a single mom flying into buffalo july27 and out of Quebec City August 11 with my two teens (13 and 14). We plan to see Niagara Falls, Toronto, 1000 islands, Montreal and Quebec City. Would also like some country or hiking spots or small towns. Last year we went to Paris and Switzerland and they enjoyed both the cultural stuff and the mountains. I'm freaking out bc I haven't rented any hotels yet or a rental car and I haven't done any plans. Also if I rent a car would it be difficult when I…

Hi, this is quite a dumb question, but i'm finding it hard to find a clear cut answer. Basically if I enter Canada from the US after my 90 days are up there, without the intention of returning to the States immediately (I want to spend a month or two in Canada then probably fly from there to S. America), is this all ok or will my trip to Canada be seen as an extension of my 90 days in the states?

From what I understand as a UK citizen I don't need a Visa for Canada and can spend 6 months there…

Hi everybody,
During our one month trip through BC we will have to stand by a full day at Prince Ruppert between our arrival by ferry from Vancouver island on 1st Sept and our move to Haida Gwaii on the 3rd.
Could someone suggest some interresting activity for one day in the field of either outdoor (walking, cycling, ...) or visits (museum, wildlife park, ...).
Thanks for your help
Jean-Louis
