I will be spending the night in Montreal on my way to Halifax. I should arrive around 6:00 pm and not leaving until mid-day the next day. Any suggestions on either an area of town to stay in so that we can explore a bit that night and perhaps the next morning, or even advice on a hotel would be appreciated. Boutique hotel under $200/night or something else in that range.

Thanks! Also, any advice on ‘must see’ or ‘must go to eat here’ is also welcome!

We're entering and leaving Vancouver Island on the Sidney Harbor ferry. Would you recommend staying in Sidney Harbor and exploring the sights from there or in Victoria itself? Also, any good recommendations for a decent B&B in Victoria or Sidney Harbor? We'l have two nights in that area before departing for Tofino, and have our own verhicle. Also, do you think it would be better to do a whale watching (Orca) trip from Tofino or Victoria?

Thanks for any advice!

Hey everyone, just a post to let everyone no that the long awaited hostel has just opened in Charlottetown and with great success!! The city has never had one in the downtown area and so backpackers were forced to go to the numerous bed and breakfasts. Now we have opened in Old Charlottetown and we're minutes away from downtown, the harbourfront and all of the attractions. We've been really busy so far and so we definately recommend reservations. Come check us out if you're in the neighbourhood…

Can anyone recommend an inexpensive hostal or motel/hotel ideally not too far from the airport for one night? I'm flying in late, and we'll be off first thing in the morning in mid june. We'll have 2 dogs also, but i'm assuming they'll be staying in the car!
thanks

Hi All,
This is a question any Aussies in Canada...I spent some time in Canada with a Working Holiday Permit that is only available to those under 30 years old. I had a ball and am thinking of going back, but am now over 30. I would love to hear from Aussies who are over 30 who have had experience working in Canada, and any recommendations on how to go about this. I'd especially love to hear from anyone who has gone through the process of applying as a Skilled Worker, as I am eligible to apply…

We'll be travelling to Vancouver Island in mid June and our budget is about $120.00 per night for B&B (or any other recommended) accommodatio. It's our 6th year anniversary so we'd like to make our trip special. Also, can you guys recommend any must do day trips from Tofino? We're taking the ferry from Anacortes to Sydney Harbor with our car so we can get around easily enough. TIA!

Can anyone advise me if there's somewhere to store my bags in Niagara Falls while I do the tourist stuff? Bus or train stations perhaps? I'm planning on flying up to Buffalo from NYC, getting to Niagara Falls for a few hours, then to Toronto by evening. Is this possible or am I living in dream land?

Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
