Does anyone have any experience visiting this park? If so, is it worth an overnight stop, a few hours, or any other recommendations? Thanks-L.
hi All,
i will be in toronto for a couple of days in the end of august for a conference, and am planning to spend my well-earned days off somewhere overthere when i am already across the ocean.
still, apart from all the cool stuff there is probably to do/see concerning city-life and the usual like niagara falls,
i'd really like your opinion whether Ontario is worth spending around two weeks.
Am interested in outdoor activities like hiking, biking etc. but also some cultural events / a taste of…
Hello. I'm asking for recommendations on how to spend 8 days at the end of June through early July. I'd like something where I could combine relaxing and taking photos with some adventure (sea kayaking, whale watching, hiking). I would like to avoid both bears and tour buses. I'm considering a road trip north to either Vancouver Island or Banff/ Jasper. Heli-hiking looks great, except I'm told there is still too much snow. I've seen Victoria but nothing else on Vancouver Island. Is…
Hello,
We are from Spain and we will visit Canada this summer during 3 weeks (British Columbia and Alberta). We have some doubts about the trails to hiking there… We have been watching some webs and there are a lot of trails very interesting but we don’t have so many days and maybe could be other trails more recommendable.
These are the trails that we thinking to hike. If someone could suggest some (because he knows it) o answer our doubts…. could be perfect. Our question would be: what of…
Hi All,
I would be very grateful if anyone out there can suggest a (low cost!) car rental company that DOESN'T require a credit card as a deposit? Me and my fella are going to want about 11 days car hire from 16th June, starting in vancouver to drive through the Oakenagen (apps if spelt wrong!) and into seattle - then ferry to victoria and a gallavant around the island, pref to the north bit for camping out, cool scenery, beaches and whales!!! We're not fussed about it being shiny and new…
Hi
I'm new to this site. I have searched for info regarding my question and haven't found much. Sorry if iy has already been covered.
I will be moving to Canada on a working holiday visa. I'm from New Zealand and it is a requirement that we have a retrurn ticket or proof of onward journey. I dont want to get a return ticket. Does anyone know if I can purchase a cheap ticket to the US or Ireland...I don't know! anywhere one way just to show I have a way out. Has anyone else done this? I…
Hi
I hope someone can help me.
It has been a dream of mine for years to stay in a log cabin in Canada and see the Northern Lights. I cycles across Canada a few years ago and loved it, and the Canadian people. I took the usual route but assume I would need to go much further north to see the lights, and am sure I would have to go in winter.
Could anyone please give me an idea the best time of year to catch the lights and a good, peaceful (preferably a bit remote) place to rent a log cabin?

Hello All,
I have a couple of questions:
1. Are there big fireworks for 1 July Canada Day? Where is a good spot to watch them from? Is the International Fireworks festival going on this year?
2. Any suggestions on groups/bands to see during the Jazz Fest (of the free stuff)
Thank you very much!

If I ride my bicycle long distance this Summer and reach Jasper, what's the chance that, without a pre-arranged train reservation (no reservation because I don't know where I'll be by a certain date), I and my loaded touring bicycle could get in Jasper, fairly quickly (or in a matter of a couple of days), a ticket on an eastbound train? Is this highly unlikely due to busy, booked train travel in Summer or has this been possible for train travelers suddenly showing up in Jasper and wishing to…
