It has been a dream of mine for years to stay in a log cabin in Canada and see the Northern Lights. I cycles across Canada a few years ago and loved it, and the Canadian people. I took the usual route but assume I would need to go much further north to see the lights, and am sure I would have to go in winter.

Could anyone please give me an idea the best time of year to catch the lights and a good, peaceful (preferably a bit remote) place to rent a log cabin?
