Going to Victoria this summer and I need a place to stay! Our friends are getting married at the Laurel Hotel, so we want to be near there, but we need something affordable. There are 4 couples + some singles, so I'd love to get a good deal and all of stay at one B&B or hotel. Does anyone know of a good place? Thanks!

You mean the Laurel Point Inn? Not too much that is affordable in that neighbourhood that I know of, but there is a Worldmark timeshare place that has 2 bedroom units (maybe even 3 bedrooms?) close to there if you are able to snag something there. A couple of blocks away, on Dallas Road, is a motel, I think it is called the Surf Motor Hotel. I have heard that it has quite the following, and I don't know the prices, but it might be worthwhile to check it out.

Selkirk Guest House.

The Selkirk Guest House is on Gorge Road, which is not in the same area as Laurel Point Hotel, but if you are thinking about Gorge Road, there are many reasonably priced motels as well in the Gorge Road area.

During the summer months, you can stay in the UVIC residences.

Try the Bedford Regency boutque hotel just off Bastion Square, it's quaint, fairly nice and surprisingly affordable.

Check out the James Bay Inn. It's within staggering distance to the LP
