Hi

I'm throwing this question out there in hope to find some good feedback to point me into the right direction.
I've been in Alberta for the Ski Season and now that it has come to an end and I'm staying for the summer, I've accumulated some clothes that I'd probably won't need for a while so I was going to send them home to Australia. It doesn't matter how long it takes to get there, but I want to send it as cheaply as possible.
The box is roughly about 1 metre x 1 metre x 1metre and the total contents probably won't way more than 10 - 15 kilos.

Does anyone know of any companies that I could use to send my stuff home by boat?

Any feedback will be great as I've been trying to find companies but most of the sites almost always assume international by air.

Thanks

You could send it by parcel post, but I doubt they would take a box that size. One cubic meter is an enormous box.

Or break it up into smaller boxes.

Yeah, break it up to conform to Canada Post's size restrictions or ring up FedEx, UPS or DHL and get a shipping (not air freight) quote from them. You could also try personal porter or world baggage as well.

Canada Post would be best, as most people said, ground ship in smaller boxes.

Are you sure you measured correctly? 1 cubic meter sounds enormous, especially if it's just souvenirs.

Check out companies listed under freight in the yellow pages. The companies you've mentioned will do it securely and quickly but you don't want to pay for that. Check options for seafreight and whover you deal with get a door to door price. I work in the express freight industry and you want to be quoted correctly.Think twice if you really need all of it back in Australia. Might save you some money.
