Hi

Flying to Havana via Canada and decided to stay a few days rather than go straight through.
Was told(by agent I wont name) that there is an extra Tax of €35 to stay these extra 2 days as now staying overnight. I have never heard of this before.I don't mind paying the difference in flights but tax to stay over rather than transit in Canada anyone ever hear of this?

Cheers

Yes it's airport taxes. As you are no longer a "transit" passenger you have access to other airport facilities and immigration / check-in when arriving with your luggage.

Every group has its own dynamics, if you can't see the idiot then it's probably you.
Enjoy yourself, it's later than you think :-D

Many countries do not charge their airport taxes to transit passengers but do charge them to originating passengers, the difference is usually whether you stop for more or less than 24 hours.
