We'll be 3 nights in Quebec City and have a car. It sounds like parking is difficult nearish to the Old City. What should I expect to pay for a parking lot or garage, near to the old city, per day? Thanks.

Actually there is no problem parking directly in the old city as there are large underground parking lots inside the walls. The largest of these is the city hall lot where you can park for $18 a day. The only problem you may have is if you need in-out privileges. If you will be taking the car out during the day it is best to get valet parking at certain hotels or to stay at one of the few hotels that has its own parking lot.
