Hello! My name is Paul and last February I travelled about a week with Linsey & Ryan through the north-east of Cambodia. Unfortunately we didnt exchange emails, so maybe there is a very very slight chance anyone knows them... Only thing I know are their first names, and Linsey is born on the 23rd of November 1981, same date as me :-) I thought Linsey was from Vancouver (island) and Ryan probably from Edmonton. I got pictures of them...

It's a long shot, but you could try facebook...they have a pretty high enrolement of people in that age category...and you might be able to search on a first name basis or birthdate if you're really determined!

Come on you guys... This sounds legitamate. He's admitted to making a huge stab in the dark trying to find 2 people out of Canada's 32.6 million.
I do find it odd though, that if these folks made such an impression on him at the time, why birthday information was exchanged but not contact information?

I met a french couple. I gave my details and was sure they would contact me but never did. So i went back to the place where I thought they stayed.

OK here I go...
So I arrived with Linsey and Ryan in Ban Lung, Ratanakiri province. Just took the 1st place we could sleep. It was a long journey that day and we were happy to finaly arrive. In the evening I said well I must be lucky cause Im having room number 23, which is the day of my birth. It turned out that that was also Linsey's, and even better: also the same month and year. Pretty funny... A day later we were going to do some elephant riding, the mum elephant was 64 years old and the daughter..... 23 years.
Just some stupid but funny anecdote.

weirder things have happened.
when I was a kid in 1980 i did a backpacking trip around europe, the middle east and turkey. In egypt i met up with this french guy and we traveled together for a week or so. communication was not the best as i didn't speak french at the time and his english was rather poor. we parted friends but didn't exchange addresses or anything.
three years later i'm studying at the University of Grenoble, France. one day in a café downtown who do i see but they guy i traveled with in egypt. i introduce myself in french and the guy doesn't recognise me because my hair had been much longer and he'd never heard me speak french. then it dawned on him who i was. we had a great laugh and a few beers.
so good luck with this, you never know.
