Hey there
Im a New Zealander just beginning a WHV in Vancouver. I've been travelling around SE Asia for 6 months, and have been using world nomads insurance, but it comes up for renewal next month. I was wondering if I should continue with that plan or look at something else. The only problem with it is that it doesnt cover doctors fees under $100.
Thoughts?
Cheers

When I'm traveling I usually get insurnace through STA and extended medical coverage through BCAA (www.bcaa.ca) who also offers coverage for international visiters to Canada.

There are some insurance options for kiwis here... that might help

We have found it hard to beat World Nomad's rates. Just don't get suckered into wasting yer time mailing a postcard as per their request---the free t-shirt sucks the big one.

I am done. The end.

I would stick with world normads, the $100 only applies if it's a once off. If it's a recurring illness, you can stock pile the receipts. There is a free medical clinic in Kitsilano anyway which treats travellers under 25 (I think it's 25 anyway), and they're really good.
