Hello,

My girlfriend and I are heading up to Montreal in a couple of weeks for a long weekend and we're looking for a place to stay. The only requirements are that it is clean, in a safe neighborhood and on the cheap side ($50 - 60). Anyone know of one that fits?

Also, any ideas about good places to eat would be much appreciated.

Thank you!

hi there,

I was in Montreal a few years ago and i stayed in this unbelievable 3 floor hostel, it was very quaint and clean and VERY reasonable. Problem is I cant quite remember the name of the place. It was located in the old montreal district not to far from the main downtown core, i know it was close to the notre' dame, i will try to find the name of the place for you in my journals, keep posted!

Thanks for looking, that sounds like a great place. Close to downtown would be perfect.

I have stayed there twice. Good hostel, good location. Book ASAP cause they do not have that many private rooms.
