Hello!
We are 2 girls driving from Montreal to Inuvik in the first week of July. We will leave Montreal around July 2nd, and head on to Edmonton. We will then pass by Liard River Hot Spring, then Whitehorse, then Dawson City and up the Dempster Highway to Inuvik. We are looking for 2 or 3 people to share the drive with us in our car!
Same thing will apply on our way back, leaving Inuvik around the 12th of August and probably taking the same road! We are flexible on the raod to take... Gaz is expensive, we need partners!!!
thanks!!

Are you going to be camping out or staying in hotels? I've been dreaming of taking a canoe trip down the South Nahanni for many years. It's probably pretty expensive, though, involving a fly-in and outfitters.

Let us know if you leave Inuvik on a different road than the one you came in on ;)

You will have the best time driving up the Dempter highway. You might be a bit earlier to see caribou and the fall colours but it is amazing - a bit like the Serenggiti in Africa - wide open plains - and great mountains too. There is a music festival up outside of Fort McPherson around then - big native powwow. Camping is great through the Yukon - cheap at one $12 a night and always lots of space. We flew to Tuk from Innuvik and the tour of Tuk and putting your toe in the Artic ocena is a fun experience.

We had an amazing time in Dawson city - what a fun place. Do not miss a music night at the Westminster Hotel - it looks like it is falling to the ground but all the locals go there and it had the best music I have heard in a long long time.
