The people in calgary were great, and driving there was great, and it used to be a cheap place to live. of course, driving there ain't what it used to be and the prices, well, the less said the better, at least as far as the housing market goes. Fortunately the people are still great.
Still, I was happy to get out even when it was still cheap. I'd never go back now.

Well, Cheers, if it went from 190 to 130 a day in a year, it's going in the direction you want it to. The bigger problem though is Alberta really stills needs to continue raiding other provinces to fuel their economy.

Yeah, right. 20% of their revenue is derived from federal (meaning other provinces) handouts.

Wrong....everyone pays into equalization, including residents of the have-nots.

^enough said right there.
this will be the second year in a row that i'll be missing the playoffs though. mind you, last year's run was pretty damn pathetic, I didn't mind being out of the country so much.
It was just Calgary's playoff run that sucked last year.
Detroit, Dallas and Nashville were also knocked out of the playoff picture in the first round along with the Flames.
I must have still been sleeping when i typed 'was' instead of 'wasn't', like i was planning on in my last post.

true enough, it was just worse hearing edmonton get so far. But this year things are as they should be and the oilers' playoff chances were shot nice and early. too bad we didnt manage to beat colorado tonight
