As deduced by the CBC are:

- the canoe
- the igloo
- prairie skies
- pier 21 Halifax
- old Quebec city
- Niagara Falls
- the rockies

What a load of PC crap. This list is more about appeasing constituencies and regions than compiling a list of wonders.

Was I the only one wondering why the lead singer from "Trooper" was a judge?

Maybe he's been in a canoe.

OK, based on that criteria I can see why the igloo is on the list but.... prairie skies, Niagara Falls and the rockies are not uniquely Canadian. Dugout canoes/boats exist the world over, or does birch bark make the ones in ON and PQ unique? I will grudgingly accept the 'history' component of Pier 21 and old Quebec city but I question "their originality and uniqueness, and ability to inspire"

I thought the road in Richmond with a church from most of the worlds religions all within 1 km (or something like that) was a neat one.

I agree with you Kiso - on the TV component the judges removed the Northern Lights because it wasn't unique to Canada! I yelled at the TV "....and Prarie skies are???"

I think that this kind of survey will always bring criticism. They tried to avoid that as much as possible by including all regions. The list isn't that bad.
