Greetings- Can anyone advise as to whether or not it would be a good idea to rent a cell phone while visiting South Africa? We will be in the country for about 3 1/2 weeks, most of the time in a rental car. I'd like to know if this can be done and how. Also, projected cost. Would I be able to use this phone in neighboring countries (Lesotho, Swaziland, Mozambique, Botswana Chobe area, Victoria Falls)? Thanks!

Does anyone have any information or links to resources on compressor fishing, blast fishing and cyanide fishing in Madagascar? I know these practices are a big problem there, but I can't find any information online.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm a journalist for a canadian consumer magazine and I'm writing an article about ecotourism. I've heard that some organized treks at Kilimanjaro sold as «ecotourism» are not really ecotourism: groups are too large, travellers disturb locals et animals, leave trash and damage, etc.

A girl friend and I are about to buy a flight to visit Morocco. We look forward to going there but we have no idea of the itinerary to choose.

We think to set off around Feb. 20th and we would like spend there at least ten days. I agree Marrakesch is a must see so we will probably land there, but then? where shall we go?

Greetings- I don't want to sound paranoid but iIwas reading somebody's travelogue about their African travels, and yes, as the title says, they were robbed in Mozambique. It wasn't clear, but I think near the border with Swaziland they were robbed by 3 men with macehetes.

My boyfriend and I are taking our honeymoon in Madagascar this year and are considering asking for charity donations instead of a wedding list at our wedding reception.
