Hi,

I'm planning to go to Kilimanjaro in October before travelling to Mombasa for a week afterwards. Does anyone know any car rental companies in Kilimanjaro/moshi/arusha which can be pre-booked. Is it a particularly long journey?

Also, is it possible to cross the border (and re-enter) using a rental car...dont wanna find that out at the border :)

What are the dates for Ethiopian Orthodox Holy Week and Easter in 2007?

I was planning to do the Historical Circuit in late April- for 14 days. Is this a good time?

Also, will this be a rainy time?

Thanks

Hi,

A group of friends (5) we are to Morocco for 10 days. We arrive to Fez and then we are heading south. Having in mind our time and budget limitation, we think that a car rental could work cheaper than using local transport. Are we right? If so, I would appreciate if you could recommend me a cheap car rental agency in Fez.

Cheers,

If anyone is thinking about coming to the desert in the next 2 or 3 weeks, then I just want to tell you how beautiful it is at the moment!
We have had quite a bit of rain and there are flowers and plants everywhere. ( The whole area from Merzouga to Zagora)
It has not been so green for 20 years or more and the area is full of nomad people who have moved their animals here for the good feeding.
Everywhere you look there are carpets of purple, yellow, green and white, contrasting with the pinky-red…

Want to see Victoria Falls at the end of a honeymoon trip in South Africa in August. The tour operators here are keen to sell me a package, but I normally prefer to book things separately.
Please can anyone recommend somewhere nice but not too expensive to stay near the Falls ? And, is it better to stay in Zambia ? And, is it easy to catch public transport to airport and Falls, etc. Thanks for your help.

Here is my belated post.

My wife, daughters aged 3 and 6 and I left our home in London for a two week trip to avoid Christmas and get some warm weather. We had a return flight to Marrakech. We spent the first 3-4 days of our trip at Riad Badra. We struggled to communicate with the staff as we don't speak French, but otherwise it was a pleasant and friendly place twenty minutes walk from the Medina (old town).

The highlights of Marrakech for us were the Medina, the Museum and the Ben Youssef…

Amatola Trail

Greetings!

We wish to hike days 4-6 of the Amatola Trail beginning at the Cata Hut.
We can book these days but have to figure out how to get from East London
to Cata Hut. There's a shuttle that runs from Cintsa or East London to Hogsback
but that does not seem to be very helpful. Does anybody know the route from
East London to Cata ranger station and who we might contact to help get us
there? Thanks,

Richard the Lion Hearted
