I intend to cross from Malawi to Zambia on the lingonwe road next march/april. Just wondering if I will be able to get a visa on entry at the zambian border. I'mn a british national. how much will it be also?

Has anyone done the Kasesha border crossing (Tanz-Zam) recently? I'm most interested in finding out if I can get a Zambian visa at the border. On the phone, the HC in Dar thought so but it'll be an expensive mistake to make if I have to re-enter Tanzania moments after leaving. Any tips on public transport here will also be appreciated!

I'm flying to Victoria Falls from Johannesburg with my dad in mid December. Can we see the falls by ourselves or should we book a tour from Sydney (where we live) or Johannesburg? Also any hotel recommandations for both cities would be very helpful.

Hi everyone,

I'm looking for some advise on buying a 4x4 either in Zambia or maybe Botswana. I will be arriving in Zambia next month and need to by a cheap reliable vehicle for mobile medical clinics in remote areas around Kazungula. We are shipping our Land Rover into South Africa and driving it up on a carnet but need a second vehicle for Zambia while we are there. This vehicle will stay in Zambia long term(as part of the charity) to be used for the clinics.

I know it is expensive to buy…

I'd really like to hear from anyone who has visited Victoria Falls in the month of February or end of January. I am particularly interested in what your experience of the weather was like and importantly visibility over the Falls at this time. I realise it's hit and miss and rainfall, wind and time of day can affect visibility but if you could tell me your experience that would be great.

Does anyone have a suggestion on reliable overland travel between Livingston to Lasaka in Zambia.

Is it allowed to take a safari with an own car in South Luangwa and other national parks?

Planning at trip to Zambia, Botswana and Namibia in januari to april. Have checked the weather in the Lp and the words "Wet season", "stormy period" and "hot" comes up alarmingly often. So how bad is it monsun rains that flushes away roads or just occasional rains? And how hot is it? Is it still worth going there or should I do the trip at a different time?
