Does anyone have any info on the price we should pay for a taxi from Lusaka airport to the bus station where the Mazhandu buses to Livingstone leave from. Also how long should this take. Our flight arrives at 8am. Thanks

I'm planning a journey through Namibia Botswana and Zambia with a small group of friends (2-4 people), and i'm not sure about how to do it.
We'd like to rent a car in windhoek and to use it from there to Lusaka but I think that it would be very expensive because it's impossible to return the car in the same office.
Otherwise we could rent a car and return it in windhoek, then move to Botswana and to Zambia with the bus and there rent a different car and do the same way.

I was after any recommendations on where to stay in Lusaka?
I'm meeting my Zambian friend in the capital in February for about 5-6days. Was after somewhere nice and comfortable, not expensive. Ideally two nice rooms. Any suggestions will be more than welcomed. Thanks again.

In July I will be travelling to Zambia for 8-10 weeks to do a medical elective where I will be volunteering in a hospital.
I have been researching visas and it seems from what I can find that to do any sort of work (including volunteering) a business visa is required? Or can you do unpaid volunteer work on a tourist visa? In many places it says that this is for a maximum of 30 days and in other places it says this can be extended? If it can be extended would this require me travelling to…

I will be traveling to Zambia this spring and towards the end of our trip (in the Eastern Province, we're flying into and leaving from Lilongwe), we want to go to Victoria Falls. I'd like to fly to Livingstone round trip from Chipata. Does anyone know if this is possible? I'm okay with stopping in Lusaka if that's the way that flights are arranged. Does anyone happen to know flight schedules or approximate costs?

I'll be flying to Lusaka the next dry season to make an overland trip through Zambia-Botswana & South Africa.

Before heading south however, I would like to catch a bus to Mfuwe & South Luangwa NP. As far as I know, buses run from Lusaka to Chipata and then another leg to Mfuwe. I wonder if you know an alternative route to backtrack to Lusaka (either from Mfuwe or Chipata) or any other stopover which put me on the way to Livingstone without doing the same route twice.

Can anyone tell me if there is internet access in South Luangwa, and what provider works best? I need to know whether remote areas of the park have access. I also need to know how chilly is it in the dry season - April-Nov, is a thick fleece enough for the evenings, in the bush camping? Does someone know about medical facilities close to the park?
