Zambia

Hi,

Since I likely won't be allowed to take my rental car into Zimbabwe or Zambia I have to oprganize a trip from Kasane, Botswana to the Falls.
Since I want to see both sindes of the falls, I could either travel Kasane-Victoria Falls-Livingstone-Kasane or vice versa. Which is better ?
Anyone know if this is possible on public transport ? I could book a tour but paying $100 just for the transport (not even including entry & visa fees) seems a bit much just for a day trip so I would like to do it…

I'm from the US and I went to Zambia back in 2006. When I was there, I was given a 30 day stamp and had to leave the country before then and re-enter to get another 30 day stamp. I'm heading back to Zambia again but I'd very much prefer to stay 60 days without having to take an all day bus ride to the border to get another stamp this time around. I already have my ticket for 60 days and I'll have that info with me when I arrive so I'm wondering if/where I can get a 30 day extension…

I've been reading the forum for a while and haven't really found an answer to this question as yet.

My boyfriend and I are considering traveling to Zambia in late April, and are thinking of visiting one or two of the national parks and Victoria Falls. We would like to do some outdoor guided activities like walking / driving safaris, canoeing etc.

But I'm trying to understand to what extent it's possible to do any walking / exploring anywhere without a guide being constantly…

I would like to reach Chipata from Tete in Mozambique. Does anyone know whether there is public transportation connecting Tete with the Zambian border, and from there to Chipata, worst case to Lusaka?

The only info I found so far says " Daily chapas run between Tete and Matema, from there the public transport is sporadic".

Any adivse or comment is more than appreciated

Hi I would appreciate any advice on the best way of getting from Kilimanjaro to Zambia to see Victoria Falls. I am staying in a school and orphanage in Tanzania for 2 weeks and would love to go see Victoria Falls afterward just for a few days. I have been trying to find out if there are flights from Kilimanjaro airport to Zambia but I cant find any so far!? Has anyone tried this route before or have any tips?! thank you very much! xx

We are two girls traveling to Vic falls Around the Jan20th and want to make our way back to Tanzania, Does anyone have any advice on places to stop on the way up through Malawi? If anyone else would like to join we are also looking for fellow travelers to go with! We need to be back in Tanzania around the 7th of Feb and we were thinking about leaving from Linvingstone around the Jan26th. Any advice on places to stay and things to see would great! thank you!

Is there any public transport or shuttle bus from Lusaka to the airport? If not, what is the current cost of a taxi to the airport?

I will be travelling by bus from Vic Falls to Lusaka. Has anyone got a recommendation as to which bus company is the best? Do any of them go via the Lusaka airport?
