Hey,
I'm heading to Zambia this summer for 7 weeks and wanted to just get a visa when I arrive rather than before hand.
I just wondered if you have to have the same visa requirements?
Last time I went to Zambia I got my visa beforehand and needed a letter from my "guest" because I was visiting.Does this apply if you get a visa on arrival?
Any advice will be greatly appreciated, thanks!

You might be referring to the old visa waiver program.

What is your passport? Now, most nationalities (but not all) can get a visa on arrival for 30 days, cost $50 for single entry. For 7 weeks you will have to go and extend it at an immigration office. I extended mine last year at Mfuwe airport but you can do it in Lusaka and Livingstone and probably some other places too.

Sorry I've just noticed you said UK in the title. You can get a visa on arrival.

No point, transit visa is same price as a single entry visa at $50US, and only gives you 7 days.
If you want to go over to the Zim side whilst at Vic Falls, then you can get a double visa on entry to Zam for $80US

Great thank you for your help!
So does anyone know if I need a letter from my hosts to get a visa on arrival?Or do you just need your passport and money?
Thanks :).

Just passport and money, may be a simple form to fill in on arrival, unfortunately web site has not been working for weeks, so cannot download ready, but not a prob, just do on arrival, may not even ask for it.
