I intend to cross from Malawi to Zambia on the lingonwe road next march/april. Just wondering if I will be able to get a visa on entry at the zambian border. I'mn a british national. how much will it be also?

Hi no problem, simple, $50US, notes no older than 5 yrs, Yellow fever MAY WELL be required, although Malawi IS NOT a YF country according to the WHO, for some reason Zambia is insisting (often) on YF cert, Unfortunately there is no point in arguing the point at the border, at the end of the day they have the last word, so best to have the cert. Some posters say that they have had no problem, others have said they were pressed for the cert. if travelling on from Zambia then you may need the cert for the next country, certainly for SA. Get the jab in the UK before you go, costs around £50-60, then its done with, lasts 10 years, can be got in Lilongwe for about $20, but personally I wouldn't trust the safety of the needle/quality of vaccine. The WHO estimate 30-50% of meds in Africa are fake.
