I got one at the Zimbabwe border for $50 in Jan '09. They brought it down from $135.

Visa is easy, $50US single, $80USdouble, fill in visa application form at border, (can be downloaded, except site is down (again), passport, (no extra photo needed). notes no older than 5 yrs, no marks, tears, tape. correct amount (change may not be (conveniently, for them,) available.
If carrying medication, prescription is advised, (they are VERY fussy about Benedryl in particular) normal OAT meds are OK, like Imodium, paracetomol etc. but extra strong painkillers avoid. Of course they may not query meds, but its best to be prepared, there has been reports of people being held in detention and even fined and deported for a few Benedryl tabs without a prescription.
