Hi Everybody,

I posted this topic in the Mozambique topic. Sorry for bringing it here too.
I would like to reach Chipata from Tete in Mozambique. Does anyone know whether there is public transportation connecting Tete with the Zambian border, and from there to Chipata, worst case to Lusaka?

The only info I found so far says " Daily chapas run between Tete and Matema, from there the public transport is sporadic".

Any adivse or comment is more than appreciated

I had a look in Portuguese at sites in Moçambique, and I think the answer is probably No. A chapa, as you probably know is a taxi. However, there's an excellent site for finding out. It's a one-man answering service for almost any travel question about Moçambique, and it's in English. Go to:
