Hello,

Can someone tell me if there are evening flights to Mfuwe? I'm probably arriving from Dar (TZ) at 17.45 on a Sunday, and would really like to fly to Mfuwe. I've never been to the region and have no idea what type of aircraft or airport/airstrip are like for this route. Really appreciate any info. Thanks a lot.

No is the answer, I'm afraid.
Proflight are the only operator- see #1's link. You will have to stay overnight and get the first flight in the morning- about 8am.

Thank you both for the info, I was able to change my int'l flight and can connect to Mfuwe on the same day! Again, thanks for your help.

Glad you were able to work that out, though we found Lusaka interesting to visit if you need to. We enjoyed staying at the centrally located Luskaka Backpackers, which was then called Cha Cha Cha Bacpackers:

Our trip report is here: http://www.traveljournals.net/stories/33104.html

Though we did not fly in to airport in Mfuwe, Flatdogs Camp took us there for for getting our Visa extension office since we were staying more than 30 days, It was quite pleasant though small, and had food shops and giftshops.

Enjoy!
