Hi, everyone.

I'm going to Uganda in mid-September 2013 and want to arrange a gorilla tracking tour (hope I haven't left it too late)! I've contacted Gorilla Tours because they have had some very good reviews on this forum. Unfortunately, they don't have any scheduled tours for my dates, so I'm looking for other tour operators. There are hundreds registered on the AUTO list, so I need a little help choosing. Can anyone recommend tour operators they've had a good experience with?

Cheers!

I am planning a Uganda trip and we are trying to confirm the actual price for the Discounted permits in April of 2014. We have seen only a few people say that they will be available but the price seems to be unknown by most. Our group has nearly narrowed down the tour company we will be going with and they are offering the discounted permits at $400 in April.

But there have been some people saying that the discounted permit price will…

Uganda and Rwanda

Mr Lucky Bon, owner of Connect Hemisphere Safaris, is wanted by the police in Uganda for defrauding foreign tourists, me being one of them. Entebbe Police Case 37 07/08/2013. He has many websites as follows in order to capture the attention of tourists. If you by chance have any information about Connect Hemisphere Safaris or Mr Lucky Bon which could assist the police in tracking him down, or if you have fallen prey to him and have not reported it to the police in Uganda…

We'll be traveling from Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda to Kisoro, Uganda. It appears that the closest border crossing is Cyanika. Will we be able to find transport from Cyanika to Kisoro when we arrive or is this something we need to prearrange? We'd prefer not to go back through Kigali en route. Thanks!

A relaxed period at Lake Bunyonyi can be a must especially after a grueling period on the tour trail of much of Western Uganda. Nevertheless I chanced upon some wonderful activity that could also be well worth it at Lake Bunyonyi. Fred, a local guide at the lake, does canoe trekking with Uganda Adventure Safari Company that takes you on a breathtaking adventure with dug-out canoes, spectacular views and island stories dotted with supernatural beliefs. The highlight was when we visited the…

Hello!
Yesterday I had a look at my passport and I was shocked - when I arrived at Entebbe airport more then 2 months ago I just got a 2 months visa (instead of a 3 months which I expexted as I payed 50$...). So my visa is officially expired but I still have to stay in Uganda 4 more weeks...
Has anybody of you been in the same situation before?
I'm planning to go to the immigration office the next days, you think I will be in trouble?
Thanks!!

Do you save much money if you book your permit yourself and arrive with public transport? I am not a fan of tour groups.
Also do you know of a way to book a permit in advance without going through a tour group?

I would like to go from Kasese to Kabale, but I can not find a bus. Can you tell me, what would be a price to go to Kabale with matatu or hired car? Thanks

I just seach TT but did not come up with anything conclusive.

What its the nicest place in Uganda to do Gorilla trekking and how do I go about arranging permits?

We are planning a 14day trip to Uganda next April.

I understand the permits will be $350 USD in low season (correct?). What are the additional cost if I want to do this independently?
