Greetings, All

Does anyone happen to be driving to Mbale (or even better on to Mayenze in Manafwa District) on 10 Dec, by any chance? Happy to help pay for fuel. I'll be staying at Red Chilli Hideaway in Kampala the night before. Going up to help out at a medical clinic there. Thanks a lot, Patricia

You should check the Ugandan embassy in Germany for the right information as a German citizen (I assume?).

A single entry visa is valid for three months and is only good for one entry.

A multiple entry visa is good for six months (or more, depending on what you pay for) and will allow you to cross the border and return. If you are staying for any length of time and think you will want to do this, you should get a multiple entry visa. The Ugandan High Commission in the UK (http://www.ugandahigh

Hi, I am planning to travel from Kampala to Fort Portal this week on Thursday. Does anyone know for sure what time it departs, from where and how much it is? Also, if I need to book in advance? Details online are very hazy! Also, if anyone has info on return buses on Saturdays, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I have been quoted 950$ pp 4 people, for a 3 day trek in November including a 350$ permit.
Sounds like a high price. Can anyone enlighten me?

It's a basic trip with two nights staying in Buhoma

Thanks

November

Hello,

I'm travelling to Uganda from the 19th November until the 9th December 2013 - I will be based in Masindi during the week. On weekends I would like to travel around and explore Uganda. I'd like to meet up with people doing the same, maybe go trekking, whitewater rafting, do you want to join me? If so let's chat!

hi guys
we are planning to visit this amazing country at the very end at the beginning of december.
we wanna do the gorilla track and we r searching some local agencies to organize and book it, we should be around 6 people, and we know that u have to book it quite in advance.
anyway, we read that the cost is around 550 USD per person but december is the low season so the costs decrease to 350 USD perperson.
can u please confirm me this information?
thanks in advance

Hi there,

I've recently been accepted to a program in Africa where I am going to go volunteer in an orphanage for 4 weeks. I'm deciding which country to go to and am debating between Uganda or Ghana. Of the countries available in Africa, these are the two that I have yet to visit.

I can't make up my mind because I've read fabulous things about both. I've heard Ghana has some of the nicest people and Uganda offers more of the unique wildlife excursions, including the gorillas. When traveling, I…

Hi all,

I would like to see the solar eclipse in Uganda at the 3rd of November this year.
I will be in Murchison Falls at that time.
Trying to find what time the eclipse will be at its maximum however, I get mixed results.
So, is there anybody who can tell me at what time the eclipse will be at its maximum and where it would be best to see it?

Also, another completely unrelated question: how can I get in touch with Tripadvisor? I can't see any email address on their website. They're making it…
