I'm need to travel up to Arua, from Kampala in mid December.
Can anyone offer any advice or information about how to get there? I'm happy to travel by bus etc. What is the normal route, which buses run it, and when? Would really appreciate help deciphering out a route. thanks
Hi Thorn Tree. Does anyone know how feasible it is to get from Kabale to Kasese in Uganda without your own transport? Are their daily buses? Can you hire a car? If anyone knows the cost (and time it would take) to get from Kabale to Kasese, I'd greatly appreciate it.
Bonus Question: Once in Kasese, does anyone know how long it would take to get to Beni in the Congo, using the Kasindi border?
Thanks.

I'm traveling to Uganda and Rwanda in early december and I'm very concerned with the close proximity to the fighting in the Congo. I am scheduled to visit Lake Kivu on the Rwandan side and it looks dangerously close to the problem area. Anyone know of the risks involved in Uganda and Rwanda? Should I be making alternative plans?
Hi,
My boyfriend and I arrive in Uganda in a couple of weeks, a few days later he turns 30. Does anyone have any suggestions for a birthday treat.....nice hotel, restaurant, day trip etc. etc. Willing to hear all suggestions regardless of budget.
Thanks.
I'm currently in Uganda for the next two weeks and am looking for someone who might be interested in hiring a car and going to Bwindi or Queen Elizabeth National Park as well as some other stuff, such as mountain biking or rafting
I've left it open as I'm open to doing pretty much anything, budget permitting
I'm a 20yr old male, easy going etc (like everyone else who posts on these forums) so if you're interested let me know!
We are in the mist of planning a 70 days of travel in Kenya – 30 days, Uganda – 15 days, and Tanzania -- 25 starting in June 2009. Does anyone have a recommendation for a travel company – we are planning on traveling by ourselves, in a group, and with a driver?
I am thinking of driving a portion of our trip – any thoughts?
Any thoughts on must do things or places?
Any thoughts on places to stay? We are thinking moderate to luxury – we do have a budget to maintain.
We typically spend money…
