We are looking for fellow travellers on a low budget who would like to share 4WD transport and guide costs from Kasese to: 1) Ishasha to see the tree-climbing lions; 2) do a guided forest walk in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park; 3) visit Lake Bunyonyi. Dates are from 5-10 December, 2010.

Please contact me if you would like a more details about the itinerary and the prices we have been quoted.

Cheers, Justin

Hi - I am planning on spending December in Uganda and would gratefully accept any ideas or advice with regards to things to do, places to see, stay or eat. I am trvaelling on a budget but not a super tight one and would like to squeeze in as much as possible including some volunteering maybe.
If anyone is looking for a travel companion for a few days/weeks I am always glad to meet fellow travellers. I am 36 years old, fairly well-travelled, laidback and happy to be flexible in my travel plans..

Hi! I'd like to know the most efficent way of travelling from Kampala (Uganda) to Lusaka (Zambia). Are there any direct flights connecting the two countries. We'll be travelling as a group of five and each of us having two big pieces of luggage, so I guess overland travelling is out of question?

Thank for advice in advance! :)

Two of us will be traveling to Entebbe airport from Kampala (Ntinda to be specific, but could leave from somewhere more central if that's easier) in order to take a 5.10am flight on Monday 22nd. We're looking for one or two people to share the car with, and thus reduce the cost of a private hire. We would be willing to leave any time from 11pm Sunday onwards (and may consider leaving even earlier). Let us know if you're interested!

Hi all, I have spent way more time than intended reviewing all the posts about when to travel in Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda. I have been to Africa before in the southern and eastern locales in the latter months of the year. All good.

I have read conflicting advice. Hot is fine. Dusty is ok. Heavy rain not appealing.

Is March a winner for Uganda ? (as I've seen on other sites)

Thanks

Hallo,

my wife and I want to stay in Uganda for 8 months. We thought about prolonging our tourist visa up to 6 months. As far as I could read in the forum this should pose no problem. But is it possible to stay longer by means of leaving the country for a week or so? Or will they reject the re-entry?

I don't have a credit card and was wondering if you can use a Maestro card (debit card) on ATMs in Uganda? If not what would you suggest because I'm running out of time to have a credit card issued on time.
