Hi Everyone,

I`ll take the night bus from Nairobi to Kampala tomorrow.

Does anyone know if it`s dangerous?

Which companies do you suggest?

Thank you.

Has anyone got an Indian Visa in Kampala. I am German. Normally it should not be a problem, but sometimes Indian Embassies in Africa only issue Visas to residents. Any Westerner got a Tourist visa recently? How long has it taken? Thanks

Car hire

Hello,
My name is Mark ,from Ireland & I would like to recommend Alpha car hire( alpharentals.co.ug).I hired their Toyota Prado 4X4 ,during April & May of this year. The jeep was clean both mechanically & externally. It was very fuel efficient,$55 US dollars( 150,000 ugandan shillings) to fill the tank from reserve, which got me approx. 600 miles.

Their rates are quite cheap @ around $60 or 70 dollars per day,i can't quite remember exactly.I spent many hours pricing various other companies, but i…

This post is meant to provide guidance to anyone looking to go gorilla trekking in Bwindi.

I stayed in the Jungle View Lodge during my trip to go gorilla trekking in June 2011. Recent travels to Uganda included a stop at Murchison Falls for a day Safari trip and a stay at the Boomu Women's group's Bandas. It is located just outside the park gates. I would recommend the Boomu stay, it was one of the highlights of my trip . It is a women's community group which is really offering a great service and helping their village trough tourism. We stayed in quaint and clean individual Bandas , with outside toilets and cold water showers . It was very cheap 20000 USH if I…
