Just posting some info on Kisoro - we're leaving tomorrow morning for Gisenyi, Rwanda.

We did the trek up the volcanoes, after having seen the gorillas in Bwindi.

We stayed at the Graceland Hotel. Alex, the manager, was a top man and we were well looked after.

We were also given loads of help by Joseph. A good man, and thorough, you can get him on 0787799389. He's also got a website - www.experience-uganda.com.

Hi,

I am planning on a trip to Uganda in december/januari and to keep it a bit low budget I want to go camping.

Can anybody give me tips on how to get the camping gear there? Is it easy to buy it in Kampala city or is there a touroperator that rents the camping gear out?

Thank you!

Anouk

Hi All,

We are planning on stopping by Ishasha on our way from Queen Elizabeth National Park (leaving the north part of the park in the morning) to Bwindi Impenetrable. Do you think we'll have enough time for this? Also, if we've already paid for the QENP entrance fee, do we have to pay again for Ishasha (I thought I had read something that indicated that Ishasha was part of QENP, but I couldn't tell for sure)? Finally, do you know how much it costs to get a guide when we're there?

Thanks in…

My husband and I travelling to Tanzania, Kenya (just for transit) and Uganda in February. We've booked a safari in Tanzania to see large mammals and afterwards want to go to Uganda to see some rainforest species. Our main interest is photography and we like to be independent + budget-wise.

I've read some posts about self-driving in Uganda but can't still decide whether to go for it or not. We've previously driven in Namibia and it was very easy - I'd imagine Uganda is very different. We'll have…

Hi everyone. I want to hike in the Rwenzories in january. Is margherita peak climb highly technical or is the climb feasible if accompanied by a guide? I'm à good hiker but I don't have much experience in mountaineering.

Is Kazinga tour recommendable?

Thanks in advance!
