Hello,
I will be spending the weekend in Uganda after being at a 3 day conference in Entebbe. My husband will be coming here and we will be travelling during the weekend. Does anyone have ideas for a nice daytrip from Entebbe/Kampala and a hotell to stay at for 2 nights. How does it work with public transport? We are swedish but currently live in Nairobi so we are a bit used to africa...

Thank you!

Hotel:
Banda Inns
Daytrip:
-Bujagali Falls / Nile / Jinja
Perhaps some bunjee jumping or rafting?
Take a taxi from the taxipark or catch a ride with Nile River Explorers or Adrift. They leave early in the morning from Backpackers, Red Chili and Lugogo Mall.

-Sesse Islands (if you've got three days off) Ferry leaves at 14.00 (correct?) from the port in Entebbe.

Other hot spots are difficult to reach within a day.
Have fun.

Rafting in Jinja.
For a day trip you can contact Red Chilli and they will organise with Nile River Explorers who can have you picked up from Kampala and returned that evening if you want.
If you want to stay in Jinja, next to the NRE rafting (the Bujagali Falls NRE) is The Black Lantern - bungalows and restaurant. They are upmarket and have a pool and it's a nice place to stay overlooking Bujagali.

hey, just try a day trip to ngamba island and visit the chimpanzee, adrift for rafting in jinja but you have at one of ther correction points in kampala by 7:15 that mean you have to live your hotel in entebbe at in the evening and spend a night at kampala, here i recommend the lodge www.kampalalodge.com the have nice rooms, meals and friendly staff.

good luck
