I am planning a trip to Uganda in 2014 and am flexible with travel times. I was looking to visit at the end of May because prices are lower and it tends to be less crowded, however I have read that July is a better time to visit because of the dry season. Has anyone visited in May? Is it worth saving the cash to go at this time or would you recommend waiting until later? I am specifically looking at gorilla trekking, white water rafting at Jinja and heading to QE National Park. Thanks for any weather advice.

Uganda during May is beautiful. Everything is lush and green, however if it wa sa particularly heavy season, some lodges and parks might be closed due to washed out roads, but don't let it deter you. I would go back during the rainy season any time.

Hello,
Uganda has good weather all throughout the year though May-June r normally wetter months nevertheless safaris during this period are fairly cheap and the hotels and lodges all through r fairly cheap. Your trip will take you from the east to the south west of the country during which you will see a diversity of animal & plant species.
Do not hesitate to contact me for detailed information.
