I'm planning to go to Uganda in late December, and my U.S. Passport has only 1-1/2 pages left of space for entry/departure stamps and visas (so 6 blocks of space total). Will this be enough space for the visa-on-arrival and any stamps for Uganda? (Also, there's a chance, I might fly into in Rwanda for visiting Uganda, which would mean more stamps...).

My passport does not expire until November 2014. Though I know for some countries you typically need to have at least 6 months time remaining on the passport before expiration to be able to travel there, so I may need to renew the passport sooner. But I was hoping not to have to do this before this trip to Uganda in late December...

I've seen visas that are really just a stamp and take up only 1 square. But for some other countries where I've traveled, the visa is a full-page stamp, and sometimes there are additional entry/departure stamps.

Please let me know if 1-1/2 pages for Uganda should be enough space left in my U.S. passport for any stamps and a visa. Just want to make sure I won't get turned away on arrival for not having enough space for this!

Thanks in advance for any advice/insight!

I visited Uganda and Rwanda and also made a short visit to DR Congo. I arrived at Entebbe to get a visa on arrival and they only stamp my passport and gave me a A4 size receipt as some kind of visa. Some people in my travel company, standing in another queue get a full-page visa sticker in their passport.

I got all my entry and departure stamp from Rwanda and DR Congo on the same page as the Uganda stamps. The officers was very careful to stamp on the same page, even if I had lots of empty pages in my passport. When I returned to Uganda from Rwanda I got a full-page visa sticker and they stamp entry and departure over the visa sticker.

Thanks for this information!

As UK citizen just got small round stamp from Uganda in passport at land and air borders, with exit and entry dates taking up 1/4 of a page and Rwanda probably 1/6 page as no visa required, so all in all less than a page for both.

Just to add - if you fly into Rwanda and travel up to the land border direction Kibale / Kisoro, very unlikely you'll be given a full page sticker at the borders there.
