Hi,

I am presently in Uganda. I hold a 3 month Single Visa for Uganda. I am from Germany and I would like to visit briefly Rwanda since we don't need a Visa for this country. Here my question, since Rwanda is part of the the East-Africa Agreement, can I go back with my 3 month Single Visa to Uganda? Or do I have to obtain a new one?

Thanks for any advice,

Olivier

They are part of the East African Community but as far as I know they still are not part of that visa agreement. So you will have to pay again on re-entering Uganda.

Stokeygirl is right, you need to buy a new Uganda visa USD 50.

Do you think this question needs three new threads that you opened?

When you are crossing from Uganda to Rwanda, for non residentd, you will need a Rwanda Visa. This one has to be applied at least 3 days to your day of arrival. At the border it was reduced from 50$ to 35$

katonatours, I thought German passport holders did not need a visa for Rwanda, as per here:
visa reqs - has it recently changed?
If so, do UK passport holders also now need a visa for Rwanda?

Hi Olivier,
weve been to Uganda/ Rwanda a few weeks ago, holding german passports. Border crossing at the Cyanika border was easy, with german passport, you dont have to have a visa.
Re-entry to Uganda costs 50 $ for another single entry visa.
We`ve been only a few days in Rwanda, but it was worth it, quite different to Uganda.
And if you want a german "Nusschnecke", go to La Galette in Kigali...
Have a good time !
Lisa
