Hi I'm going to Kampala to Tanzania from Tanzania overland. Just wondering if its possible to get a visa on arrival at either Mbarara or Mutukula as a UK passport holder. I know there are lots of posts about Uganda visa on arrival but little about overland travel. Also, is there any interesting places between TZ border and Kampala that are worth spending a few days?

No problem to get visa at land borders, whether from Kenya, Rwanda or Tanzania. Pay $50 - they stamp your passport and little more.

You can have the Visa at the Boarder, just the Fee, and there you go. On your way to Mutukula from Kampala, you can stop over at the Famous EQUATOR, its so much fun, take pictures, have fun with other travelers.

Enjoy your Visit!
