I'm in the stages of planning my trip to East Africa and I always like to have a buffer day every few days in my itinerary in case something happens, there's a transportation delay, or I get sick.. and if I don't, ideally somewhere that's interesting to hang out for a day. So I'm trying to decide between Kampala and Arusha, any thoughts?

didn't visit Kigali, but between Kampala and Arusha, I liked Kampala waaay more. I found it to be a lot more interesting. the traffic on the main road is crazy though, crossing the street will take some courage. oh ye, and I loved riding the boda-bodas. best way to travel around Kampala.
