hi every one, only trhee weeks to go, and exiting about it........... we where looking some picts about ishasha lodge... beatifull and so expensive... but i heard in the area are some camp site cheaper and also nice what do you know about it? what about getting there without privete transport..... and any other lodges razonably cheep and must go?

I don't know where you'll be coming from... but there is budget travel company that goes from Kabale (southwest Uganda) to QENP and passes through Ishasha. The whole thing is really cheap and the groups are small (usually under 5 people total). You can also pair it up with their canoe trek at Lake Bunyonyi where the tour starts, which I did and which was AWESOME!

Also, just for background info edirisa is a really unique not for profit business and "society for promoting Africa, creativity, cultures and practical skills" as noted on their site. - good people

The Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) has a few bandas at Ishasha, which are extremely basic, with no food provided. YOu must bring your own food and water. But they are cheap, about $40-50 for the night. The only way I know to book them is through the UWA office in Kampala.
