Hi there,

I was wondering if someone could suggest a nice/safe/clean/cheap hostel in Entebbe. Im planning on picking up a guide book at the airport along the way (were flying in from Colombia) but ideally I`d like to book the first night in advance.

We`re looking for nothing fancy, a dorm is fine, free breakfast and wifi would be ideal. But anything safe and cheap will do.

Thanks!

There are a couple of basic hostels...frankstourists@hotmail.com is one but I think value for money when you crawl off a long haul flight is Airport Guest House... postmaster@airport-guesthouse-entebbe.com. If you have a change of heart with extra cash, the Boma is awesome....thebomaentebbe.co.ug. All of them are happy to arrange to meet your flights though since CHOGM, the taxi services at airport is far more organised, friendly and happy to give a fair price on the spot. Welcome, and hope that you have an awesome time, folk have compared this part of Africa both to Columbia and Nepal... all of them have places to spot Dragons!

Boma is the best.

But for your price range: probably Sophie's Motel.

thanks for the tips, guys.
Boma looks very nice, but unfortunately way out of our price range.
Sophie has horrific reviews on trip advisor!
Franks, however, looks very nice, might end up there!

does anyone know Prissy Court hostel?

thought this might be of interest for future travellers to entebbe:
we emailed entebe backpackers (franks) to book a room and received a reply within a day. their airport pick up service was relieable, the dorm has 8beds and an ensuite and is clean. the restaurant has somewhat slow service but is alright. would recommend staying here.

I stayed at Frank's one night and found it to be just fine by me. Nice and quiet, which is what I needed that night. Hope you enjoyed it.
